Fly Fishing Trips to Krościenko nad Dunajcem, Poland

Brown trout, grayling, huchen and barbel

The basic package is for 5 days of guided wade fishing on the Dunajec River through Fly Fishing Poland lodge in Krościenko nad Dunajcem, Poland. We typically book a minimum of 3 anglers but we can arrange individual trips. 

Per person pricing for groups of 3 or more $1500 and includes:

  • 6 days' full accommodation/meals
  • 5 days' guiding with English speaking Polish guide
  • licenses for 5 days of fishing
  • airport pick up and drop off at Krakow-Balice International Airport.
  • ground transport to and from fishing areas
  • set of proven flies

Fishing varies to seasons and weather, so please ask for peak times. You will primarily fish the Dunajec River but additional area rivers include the Czarny Dunajec, Biały Dunajec, Białka Tatrzańska, Poprad and the Vah (Slovakia).

Air Travel – We can arrange your air travel from major US cities. through our sister company, Lilly Pad Travels.  Just let us know where you can fly from. 

Additional stay in Krakow, Poland or Europe– We can offer additional  nights stay in Old Town Krakow. We can make your hotel room reservations in Old Town, (walking distance to all your major sites) and will include breakfasts and transportation to Krakow-Balice airport. We can make dinner reservations for you, get you tickets for tours and let you know where the best shopping is.  If you would like to continue your travels through Poland or Europe, just let us know. We can arrange rooms, car or train transportation, tours and flights and we are happy to share our knowledge of Poland with you. 

About the fishery–A special section of the Dunajec has been created especially for fly anglers.

One of the best “no kill” fishery in Poland and Europe. Its range includes 11 km stretch of the river which starts from the Krośniczanka estuary.  In addition to fishing for brown trout and grayling on dry flies and nymphs, you can try your luck for Danube salmon (Huchen) with streamers. Barbel also inhabit the river and can be caught on flies.  You can also visit Fly Fishing in Poland's web site for more info and photos.

A passport is required for this trip but no visas.

We recommend travel insurance to not only cover your trip for emergencies but to cover your health care in Poland.

Hosted Fly Fishing Trips

April 2020, prime time for brown trout

This hosted trip includes the above package for 5 days of guided wade fishing on the Dunajec River through Fly Fishing in Poland lodge in Krościenko nad Dunajcem, Poland. You will be accompanied by Captain Gary Dubiel and your trip will include a 2 night stay in historic "Old Town" Krakow.

Fishing – April is prime time for brown trout fishing on the Dunajec River. The trout will be willing to take dry flies, streamers and nymphs. This is a great opportunity to sharpen your nymphing skills as the Polish guides are experts in Euro nymphing.

The package outline – You will meet your host, Captain Gary Dubiel of Spec Fever Guide Service/Lilly Pad Travels at the airport in Krakow and he will join you on your trip to Krościenko nad Dunajcem. He will be available to assist your guide, take photos and video of your trip. After your fishing you will spend 2 days and nights in Krakow. Your rooms will be in Old Town. Gary will provide you with a walking tour of the Market square, St. Mary's Basilica, Cloth Hall, Wawel Castle and Cathedral, the Planty Park and the Barbican, a Chopin Concert with a glass of wine, 2 breakfasts, 2 evening meals and transportation to the airport. 

We need 4 persons for this trip. Price per person $2300. 

Not included in this price is your airfare,  lunches in Krakow and any gratuities and alcohol. 

Payments and – A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking. Final payment is due 30 days prior to departure. A passport is required for this trip but no visas.
