Capt. Gary is currently booking 3 to 6 anglers for a fly fishing trip that will focus on Poland's outstanding brown trout fishing. We will also fish for rainbow trout on one of the 5 rivers we have access to. There are no beats in Poland. Our guides are English speaking with years of experience, the lodge is well appointed and relaxed. Polish Rivers have grayling, Danube salmon (a type of Taimen) and barbel. This trip is slated for late May of 2019.
Fly into Krakow-Balice Airport. Your will be picked up by taxi and taken to your room in "Old Town" Krakow. That evening you will enjoy a traditional Polish meal.
Your day starts with delicious breakfast at the hotel, then a short walk to the Market Square. Gary will walk you through the many sights; Cloth Hall, St. Mary Cathedral, Collegium Maius, Kazimierz, the Barbican, Florianska Gate, Planty Park. We will walk to Wawel Castle and tour Wawel Cathedral. We will end the day with a fine dinner at one of our favorite Old Town Restaurants
Breakfast will be at our Krakow hotel and then we are off to Kroscienko nad Dunajcem where we will meet our guide Wojtek Kudlacz. Your lunch, licenses and flies will be provided for fishing the rest of the day.
You spend the next 4 full days fly fishing up to 5 different river for primarily brown trout with the possibility of rainbow trout, graying and barbel. You will have 3 meals a day, your ground transportaion and your lodging are all taken care of.
We head back to Krakow-Balice Airport on the 8th morning. We can get you on your fly back to the US that day or arrange for your stay near the airport for departures the following day. If you are staying over night we offer a trip to Tyniec Benedictine Abbey, circa 1040. We can also help with travel plans for a continued visit in Poland.
Pricing starts at $2000 US per person sharing. Single accommodations and extended stays will add to your costs. Alcohol, gratuities and airfare are not included. A deposit is required.
Non anglers can enjoy castle, church and national park tours, spa treatments, hiking, biking, shopping and horseback riding.
