Neuse River striped bass are "estuarine" fish, another words, they spend most of their lives in the river system and do not migrate to the ocean. Thus, they are available to catch all year except when they are on their spring spawning run up the Neuse River. Peak fishing is October through March, May and June with the best topwater fishing occurring in May through October. Typically, our trips are not strictly a striper fishing guide as reds and speckled trout are often in the same mix. Contact us for questions and open dates.
