Due to evolving industry standards, our insurance provider now mandates that all clients sign a waiver prior to participating in our fishing charters. We appreciate your cooperation in completing the waiver form. Furthermore, the North Carolina Department of Marine Fisheries (NC DMF) requires any angler retaining any portion of their legal fish limit to report their catch. Please note that this is the responsibility of the angler and cannot be undertaken by the captain. A QR code for reporting is available on the boat, or you may use the link provided below.
We are pleased to offer direct bookings through our partner, AnyCreek, which we believe will provide a convenient and streamlined process. However, you are always welcome to contact us directly to make arrangements.

Spec Fever holds USCG, NCDMF, and NC Wildlife licenses and insurance. You will need to acquire a North Carolina saltwater fishing license and potentially a NC freshwater (inland) license. The freshwater is required in joint and freshwater areas we fish and are typically required for charters during the fall, winter, and spring seasons. You will be advised to purchase if necessary for your excursion. These licenses are available online.
Beginning December 1, 2025, all recreational fishermen in North Carolina are required to report the harvest of certain finfish to the Division of Marine Fisheries as required by state law. The following link explains how this works. The following species requires that harvest report: flounder, red drum, spotted seatrout and striped bass. Please note that this is the responsibility of the angler and cannot be undertaken by the captain. A QR code for reporting is available on the boat.
