Where we fish
The Neuse River and Pamlico Sound constitute a diverse and extensive ecosystem with more than 9000 miles of shoreline. The village of Oriental serves as the portal to the lower Neuse and Southern Pamlico Sound, making it an ideal launch point for fishing charters New Bern is a 300-year-old City located on the banks of the Neuse and Trent Rivers. The area has developed into a hot spot for many saltwater species and offer year-round action.
What we fish for
The Neuse is potentially North Carolina's premier inshore fishery offering our inshore fishing charters opportunities to fish for redfish, speckled trout, bluefish, flounder, black drum, weakfish, Spanish Mackerel and well a few surprises from time to time. The area is also known for world-class redfishing and producing trophy redfish over 50 inches and very large tarpon (see those pages for info)

New Bern, NC
Established more than three centuries ago, New Bern holds the distinction of being Pepsi's birthplace and North Carolina's Colonial Capital. It features a rejuvenated downtown district and is just a two-hour drive from Raleigh-Durham International Airport. New Bern is also served by the Coastal Carolina Regional Airport, offering various lodging options, eateries, and shopping venues. Oriental, NC
Located within the Inner Banks, Oriental is perched on the picturesque Neuse River, 28 miles east of New Bern, and is approximately a 35-minute drive from there. The village is reachable by air via Raleigh-Durham (RDU) International Airport, which is about a 2 1/2-hour drive away. Additionally, flights are available at Coastal Carolina Regional Airport in New Bern. This quaint hamlet, with a population of around 900, provides accommodations and dining options.

Fishing trip information
- We provide all the necessary fishing tackle, lures, or flies for your trip. Our fishing tackle is of the highest quality, and we take great pride in the gear you will be using. You are welcome to bring your own tackle; however, please inform us about what you plan to bring, so we can adjust our tackle accordingly.
- Bringing a jacket or rain gear, sunscreen, a hat, and polarized sunglasses is always advisable. Bottled water, ice, and a cooler will be provided on the boat. Feel free to bring any additional beverages you desire for the day. In North Carolina, it is mandatory for anyone under the age of 13 to wear a suitable life vest while aboard a moving recreational vessel.
- We provide a cooler with ice and bottled water. You are welcome to bring a small cooler with additional drinks, snacks and lunch.
- We adjust our meeting locations according to the predicted weather and the recent successful fishing. We'll determine our starting location close to the date we are fishing to maximize our productivity. We'll email, text or call you with the address of the boat ramp and launch time.
- NC DMF now requires clients to report their harvest online at the end of the charter. The captain is not responsible and fines can be issued by DMF officers if you are not compliant.
