Spec Fever Guide Service offers both long 1/2-day (5 hour) and full day (8 hour) fishing charters in the New Bern area, fishing 1 to 3 anglers. We launch from several local boat ramps that include the Bridgeton and Lee's Landing Wildlife and Lawson's Creek and Union Point Park ramps. We supply all of your fishing tackle, including fly-fishing gear, lures and flies. Spec Fever specializes in topwater, artificial lure and fly fishing. Capt. Gary has over 20 years guiding experience fishing New Bern and is a full-time guide. Your saltwater fishing license is supplied by Spec Fever, but you will need to a NC freshwater license.

Arrive Friday afternoon to the Courtyard Marriott New Bern, 218 East Front St, New Bern with a check out on Sunday. Fish a full day Saturday (8 hours) with your guide, fishing tackle, saltwater fishing license, bagged lunch and bottled water included. You will be picked up feet away from the Courtyard at the boat landing at Union Point Park. You can request a short lunch break with return to the park for the restrooms and other amenities. Sunday’s fishing is a long half day (5hours) and you will again be picked up at Union Point Park. Breakfast are served at the Courtyard on the weekends at 7 AM. There are times of the year where earlier starts are better for fishing, if this is the case, we can arrange for a “to go breakfast”.
Package price is $1000 per person with double occupancy.
Dining is available right next door at Persimmons Waterfront Restaurant, or you can visit many of the other great restaurants within walking distance in Downtown New Bern. Dinners are not included in the price.

George trailers up his Mercury-powered Mako 214 and teams up with long-time pal and guide Gary Dubiel. The environment here is stunningly beautiful and rich with wildlife. Even though striped bass are their main goals, there’s no telling what might intercept a bait in these fertile, brackish waters!
